Collaboration Project of Tokyo Camera Club and Impremia NS40: Exhibit of 400-megapixel works achieved by high-resolution printing of 100-megapixel photographs

Komori Corporation (Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Satoshi Mochida) is pleased to announce that, as a collaboration project with the Tokyo Camera Club, Komori will print two photographers' works on the Impremia NS40 40-inch Sheetfed Nanographic Printing® System and exhibit them in the Tokyo Camera Club 2022 Photo Exhibition to be held this September.
In this project, Komori will exhibit ultra-large works printed on our latest digital machine, the Impremia NS40. The works are colorful landscapes taken with a 100-megapixel digital camera by Tokyo Camera Club photographers Misaki Nagao and Yoshikazu Sobukawa.
The Impremia NS40 is capable of printing 100-megapixel photographs on B1 sheets while maintaining a high resolution of 300 PPI. In addition to output on B1 sheets, we will show for the first time dynamic work in a size equivalent to two B0 sheets by combining four B1 sheets. We invite you to closely experience the beauty of these powerful, intricately detailed reproductions that are rarely seen in everyday life.

■Profiles of Photographers
Misaki Nagao
Born in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, in 1995.
Nagao liked traveling and started taking landscape photographs with the purchase of a single-lens reflex camera to take and preserve as many worthy photographs as possible. Gradually, he began to pursue sunrises and rare landscapes and was selected for the Sony Next Photographer Award at the All-Japan Association of Photographic Societies' 35th "Nature of Japan" photo contest as well as the Tokyo Camera Club's "10 Viral Photographs of 2018." He mainly prefers to shoot landscapes in forests, at the waterside, and in the mountains, exploring the world he loves every day.
Yoshikazu Sobukawa
Born in 1958 and lives in Yokohama, Japan.
In 2002, Sobukawa founded Zenwan, a video and event production company.
At the same time, he taught himself photography and has up to now focused on Mt. Fuji.

■About Impremia NS40
Introducing a new digital press, with the impressive productivity and profitability needed to expand customers' businesses by meeting growing demand for short and medium runs, including variable printing and versioning for immediate turnaround on jobs such as packages, displays, and point of purchase.
Supported by Komori's previously amassed technologies and with a unique design combining offset and inkjet using image transfer blankets, the press achieves B1 print speeds of 6,500 sph. As a "digital offset" press, the NS40 is the peak of digital presses and is made possible only by Komori.
